Concentrates
Whatever amount looks right is already too much. Badder, crumble, shatter, diamonds, live resin, live rosin, hash — the names are textures, and all of them run several times stronger than flower.

What is the difference between live resin and live rosin?
The solvent. Live resin is pulled from fresh-frozen plant material using a hydrocarbon solvent, which is then purged down to residual limits. Live rosin uses no chemical solvent at all: the frozen material is washed in ice water, the resulting hash is freeze-dried — the step that makes or breaks it — and only then pressed with heat and pressure. That extra work is why rosin costs more, and why people who care most about flavour tend to end up there.
At the other end sits distillate — strong, neutral, and with almost nothing left of the strain's own character.
What do the texture names mean?
They describe how the extract was purged, not how strong it is. Badder and crumble start from the same extract and part ways during the purge: badder is agitated while the solvent comes off, which folds in air and nucleation sites and gives it that smooth, frosting-like body, while crumble is purged undisturbed for longer until it dries into that loose structure. Terpene content tracks the starting material and how gently the purge ran, not the whipping — which is why live badder usually tastes loudest. Diamonds are crystallised THCA, usually sold sitting in a terpene sauce. Shatter is clear and glass-like, and over time it may "sugar up" and turn cloudy — normal crystallisation, not a fault.
How should concentrates be stored?
Heat and light take both the potency and the terpenes, so: glass or silicone, cool and dark, and not on a windowsill. In a Miami apartment that is a real constraint rather than a formality — the same jar left in the sun loses more here, and faster, than it would almost anywhere else.
Questions people ask
Why did my shatter turn cloudy?
It crystallised. A high-purity extract is not stable in that glassy state: over time, with temperature swings or a shake in transit, the THCA starts gathering into crystals and the slab clouds over. Potency is unaffected; aroma can get quieter, because terpenes get pushed out of the growing crystal. Kept cool, dark and closed, it stays glassy longer.
Which one has the most flavour?
Generally live rosin, then live resin. Products made with distillate are the most neutral.
Do I need a rig?
Not necessarily. A rig gives you the most control over temperature, which is what flavour depends on, but a dab pen handles badder and crumble with far less setup. Diamonds and anything that needs a low, slow heat are where a rig earns its place.
